We often get requests for the programs of past festivals for various reasons. Sometimes they are from people who had attended a particular program and want to recall all the music that was presented, other requests are from folks planning their own music festival and don’t want to overlap what we have recently presented. Others are just questions that music mavens have regarding their favorite performers. Just recently we received a request from a person who lives in Louisiana and works as a maritime lawyer serving Lafayette LA along with her husband, also a maritime attorney. This is a small city where the maritime trades are huge, many of the townsfolk work on offshore rigs or on commercial vessels and have plenty of time to listen to recordings of their choice. She had been embroiled in a heated discussion with her husband over which particular music Jennifer Lamore preformed in collaboration with the double bass player Davide Vittone. Their new ensemble, called Jennifer Larmore and OpusFive, offer three programs: Songs and Arias, Cabaret/Operetta, and Movies and Broadway which are all entertaining. At our festival they happened to preform their Songs and Arias program. We were able to answer the questions of our maritime attorney couple to their satisfaction, as we have answered hundreds of similar requests. SO now to our past festival programs.
